Wow it has been a while since I blogged.
Well it has been awhile. My family is still together and happy... my daughter is now 3 years old and we no longer live in San Antonio... My husband is Deployed at the moment. He left in July and is not due to return til 2011 sometime. We are doing pretty good. The holidays are kinda rough for my daughter. We are hanging in there tho. I am just hoping that Christmas goes by with out any major problems.
Something new and exciting has happened to me... I found my Brother Daniel!!! He was adopted my his fathers family when he was a baby... I haven't seen him since I was 8. I found him on Myspace. It was my last hope. But we have gotten in contact with each other. and he is Planning a trip to come see me in the next month or so... I am sooo excited! I haven't seen him in 20 years. I am excited to meet him and get to know him.
Man... I cant believe that My daughter will be starting school next year. She is ready, but I am not. lol... she is getting too big too fast... Last month she comes out of the house with her Little Miss Chatterbox back pack on. She gets on her bike and tells me that she is gonna go to school... I said ok buy baby have a good day... (thinking that she was just pretending... well about a min and a half goes by and She hasn't come back around. so i stand up and look... She is HALF WAY DOWN THE STREET!!! going towards the elementary school that is around the corner from my house. I tell her to come back and she turns to me and says "No Momma!!! I go to school!" I had to tell her that she cant go to school til next year... she turns around and starts crying telling me that she wants to go to school like Serena. (Serena is her cousin who is 7 years old.) I had to talk to her and tell her that she will go to school next year. lol it was scary but too funny! I couldn't believe that she is so ready to go to school... OH and she tells me the other day... that she doesn't want me to take her to school... she wants to ride the bus. lol... so independent!

Ginger Bread Train
Well today Layla my Dad and I all built a ginger bread train... well my dad only wanted to help kneed the icing... and Layla.... well she ate more than she helped... lol but hey that is what being a kid is all about. It was alot of fun. I really enjoyed it. I think i am going to make it a tradition to make either a ginger bread train or house every year for Christmas. I think Layla will enjoy it more as the years go on. I think it will be a good way to bond with her. Plus traditions are good for family.
I also decorated the Christmas Tree last night. It's only 32 inches tall but it will work for now. I think next year i want to get a bigger tree. I think I will also make decorating the Christmas Tree a tradition for Layla and I. I know that it was a tradition that every year I would help my mom decorate the Christmas Tree... that is one of the things that I miss most about living so far away from home. I dont really get to help her decorate the tree anymore. That was one of my favorite things about Christmas..... Getting to help her do it. It always seemed to put me in the Christmas spirit. Now that I am a mom I think i want Layla to have the same joy each Christmas.

Going home
Well tomorrow we will be going home... back to San Antonio... I have to say I am glad to be going home. We have been away too long. I miss my space, my own room, my house and my bed. lol. I have had alot of fun visiting but it is time to go home.
Layla I think is REALLY ready to go home to her room and bed. she has been acting up all day today. Yesterday she was acting up too... I think she just needs to get home to her surroundings. I also think she misses her Pop Pop... lol
The only thing about going home i dont like is that long drive. I just wish i could snap my fingers and be back home. lol But we did have a good time. this was the first time in 3 years that i have been hom for Thanksgiving. It was a nice change. We will be coming back for Christmas too... we wont be staying as long tho. only a week to split between the two families. That is going to get stressfull. Everyone wants to see us on the same days. Sometimes it just makes me want to just stay home. Tho i guess that is family and that is what we get for living so far away. Anywho i think i am going to head to bed.... got a long drive ahead of us.

Just because
Well the only reason I signed up for this was to follow a friends blog about her family... ( hi Jen hehe) but you know.. it isnt such a bad idea... i guess it will give me something to do... lol.
anywho i guess i can start off by giving everyone a little insite on my family. Well there is my husband Caleb. and my daughter Layla... and then there is me Dawnelle. We are a Military family. We are stationed in San Antonio. We are hopeing to get stationed somewhere else SOON. We dont really care for it here really...
My husband and I met (gonna sound funny) on Myspace. We were PinPals while he was stationed in England. When he got back to the states we met in person.... and well we have now been together for going on 4 years and been married for 2 1/2 years. We have our beautiful daughter Layla that is 17 months old. She is my life and whole world. I cant believe that I was ever happy with out her in my life. She makes me laugh everyday, Keeps me on my toes, and makes me see life differently. She is just such a character. her hobbies are... dancing to any kind of beat she hears, mimics everything you say... or tries, Playing out side, destroying my house, helping me do dishes (tho sometimes i can do with out her help... lol ) and making me laugh.
well i guess i will get off here for now. thanks for reading this. lol hope i didnt bore you
